We’re excited to announce the addition of three editors to The Post’s SEO team: Candace Mitchell, Gwen Milder and Ashleigh Wilson. These SEO editors will work to develop strategies to reach and retain new, younger and diverse audiences through search platforms and develop newsroom best practices around SEO, referrals and sustainable content.
They join Jai-Leen James and Matt Clough in the core SEO team of the newsroom, formerly known as Operations, to expand our efforts to optimize and predict near-term trends. and long-term. As senior SEO editor, Candace will lead our audience acquisition strategy. You will collaborate with teams across the company to understand our research audience and find opportunities to create content to convert them into regular visitors and loyal subscribers.
Candace joins us from Gannett, where she led the digital production team at NorthJersey.com and the Record for several years before becoming director of digital subscription strategy for the Atlantic region. In this role, he trained and worked with more than 30 newsrooms to help strengthen digital subscriptions. He also led a team of reporters covering a variety of topics, including local news and transportation in the New York metro area, a role to which he brought his extensive experience in and data scientist, led by audience to organize and present stories.
A native of New Jersey, he holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and literature from Ramapo College in New Jersey. In her free time, Candace enjoys reading and talking about the Philadelphia Eagles.
